Job Description: As the Team Leader/Senior Project Manager – Traffic Engineering, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals. Your primary focus will be on project management, business development, and establishing our presence in Houston, Dallas, or San Antonio Markets. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base, managing key projects, and fostering strong relationships with clients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and operational oversight to achieve business objectives.
- Manage and mentor a team of traffic engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients.
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, ensuring successful project delivery within budget and timeline constraints.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as design, planning, and construction, to ensure effective coordination and integration of traffic engineering services.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to enhance our service offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A master’s degree would be an asset.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in traffic engineering, including significant experience in project management and business development.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in the state of Texas or the ability to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe.
- Proven track record of successfully managing traffic engineering projects, from conceptual design to final delivery.
- Strong business acumen and experience in developing and implementing business development strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present technical information to clients and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in leading and motivating teams.
- Familiarity with local traffic engineering regulations and standards in Texas.
